Letter From the Pastor

Philippians 4:6-7 says do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer, and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus.

 Do you worry, have doubt, fear, uncertainty, or other things? Of course, you do. You aren’t alone because I do, too!

 Imagine never worrying about anything, doubting, fearing, and etc.

 We are humans and these things are going to creep into our lives. Luckily, we have our Lord and savior Jesus Christ that we get to present these problems to. When I think about this all I can do is smile and feel incredibly thankful that someone loves me that much.

 If we have surrendered our lives to Christ, we can experience peace that is only given through Jesus. God’s peace is different than world peace (John 14:27).

God’s peace is everlasting. Worldly peace is a confident assurance in a circumstance. There is no need to fear the present or future when we have a relationship with Christ.

I want you to think of having a backpack on your shoulders full of books. The longer you carry that backpack it starts to weigh you down. The first opportunity that presents itself for you to take that backpack off, you’re going to do it. The things we try to control in our lives do the EXACT same thing. The longer we hold on to the worry, fear, doubt, whatever it is, it starts to weigh on us. It starts to effect the way we think and what we prioritize. We try to find things to distract us.

Guess What……?

We can present all these too God and go to Him for peace. He is in control of the outcome, not us. Do it through prayer, petition, and with thanksgiving!!
